SENIOR AZUL:
For years I tried to buy this bronco. It was sitting in a driveway in south Austin. I left several notes and after about 2 years, I stopped by one day and the owner was actually home, getting ready to move and engaged. So i made an offer of $6500. the motor was not in the bronco but a rebuilt 289 was sitting in his garage on a stand. I installed the motor in his driveway with the help of Jason Reese and drove it away.
This bronco has now been on many adventures. Today it houses a built 302 from a ‘95 mustang with efi. A ZF 5 speed, 3.5” suspension and 2.5” body lift, locked with 4.88 gears, long arms, rancho shocks, and my favorite tire - 37” Falkens.
scrappy
Yes - Jesse made my dreams come true! Literally right down the street from our house he dug scrappy out of the mud and brought him home. He colored my motor rose gold (one of my favorite colors) and scrapped away all the black and white paint off. Discovered the beautiful green patina underneath.
It has been my dream to have a patina bronco and Scrappy is it! Half cabs are my favorite and Scrappy already had the bulk head so we put a top on it. It didn’t come with a tailgate. Jesse had the blue one hanging around so Doug installed it. I happen to fall in love!
Timberland - A 1979 Ford Full Size Bronco! This paint job is a custom mix of vintage throwback and unique design.
